Greece: Kos

Greece: Kos

The greek island of Kos (greek: Κως) located in the eastern aegean sea is the third biggest dodekanese island in this region right after Rhodes and Karpathos.

The island is around 42 km long and almost 10 km wide with approx. 288 square kilometres.

Short History

Kos has an amazingly long history and was under the reign of many powers throughout the time.

Explore Kos

It’s the variety of Kos, that makes it a special travel target in the numerous Dodekanese islands.

From amazingly beautiful hidden beaches, often hard to reach, to historically important archeological sites and numerous interesting churches – and not to forget the warm-hearted friendly people living here.

Kos has it all!

But to fully enjoy this island, you should definitely choose to explore the island by yourself and by car. You would truely miss out a lot of this special island by not doing so and there are also a lot of places you just won’t see when just doing the usual tourist tours.

There is so much to see on Kos, no matter if you’re interested in cultural, archeological or nature spots. I have gathered my most recommended ones here including some closer informations on the spots.
